Are these instruments new or used?
New! MusicYo is NOT a pawn-shop, an auction site, a traditional music store with a web-site, nor a cataloger. MusicYo is the FIRST and ONLY on-line seller of brand-name instruments at Factory-Direct prices! All instruments offered on MusicYo.com are indeed new! The reason the prices are so low is that you are buying at factory direct prices. How Low can we go….You'll have to just keep checking back.

I am not in the US - do you accept foreign currency?
We accept only Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express as payment. If your bank's currency is not the dollar, your bank will make the conversion for you during the transaction.

How much will my purchase be with shipping included?
If you place things in your shopping basket, click "TOTAL", then the site will calculate your shipping charges for you BEFORE you are asked for payment information. If you are unhappy with the total, you can stop the transaction at anytime and you will NOT be charged.

Can I send you a check?
In order to keep our prices low, we only accept credit card orders. If you don't use credit cards, your bank may offer a Visa "Check Card" to work with your checking account. We gladly accept this card.

When FedEx delivers my order, must I sign for the package(s)?
FedEx guarantees us delivery from MusicYo into YOUR HANDS. They have a policy to leave packages in certain areas without requiring a signature (leaving packages on your door step, etc.). However, if something happens to this package, FedEx is accountable. Therefore, if your package does not arrive in a reasonable period of time (typically 7-10 working days for FedEx Ground shipments), please email us at orders@musicyo.com and we will assist you.

Will you be offering other models and brands in the future?
Yes. MusicYo.com is on a mission to provide you with the latest and greatest musical instruments. However, until we actually POST the product to our website, we cannot tell you exactly what those products will be, how much they will cost or when they will be available.

The BEST way to stay informed is to REGISTER at MusicYo. You can register for free and you don’t have to buy anything. By registering, you will receive regular emails from us announcing new products, offers, etc. In the meantime, if you have product suggestions, please feel free to email us your ideas at feedback@musicyo.com.

What type of material and/or wood is used on the guitars, basses, drums, etc?
Most all of the necessary specifications are listed on the website by product. To find this, select the brand name, then model name, and then more photos and specifications. If you don't see the information you seek here, then email your question to us at feedback@musicyo.com

What are the differences between the "Steinberger" and the "Spirit by Steinberger" line?
Spirit by Steinberger guitars and basses were introduced many years ago as a more affordable alternative to the relatively expensive and limited production of "graphite" Steinbergers. Using the same patented Steinberger designs, the Spirit line mimics or mirrors the Steinberger line as follows:

Given this, the Spirit line features most of the same great features as the graphite Steinbergers including the double-ball tuning system, 40:1 ratio fine tuners, R-Trem locking tremolo system, headless construction, Steinberger hardware and great ergonomic design. However, while the Steinbergers featured a graphite neck, the Steinberger Spirits feature 3-piece hard maple, through-neck construction (GT and XT series) or hard maple, bolt-neck construction (GU and XZ series).

When I click on the "PURCHASE" or "TOTAL" button, my browser hangs for a while, then gives me an error message. What do I do?
This is because the connection between you and our server is slow, and your browser thinks that we have been disconnected. Simply hit your "REFRESH" or "RELOAD" button.

Do you have these in stock?
Yes. All items that are listed on the site are ready to buy. However, sometimes the picture of the product may be "black" but the color selection "pull-down" window only shows white and red. This means that we are OUT OF STOCK of black. Likewise, if a color option is listed on the "more photos and specifications" page under "FINISHES" but it does NOT appear in the "pull-down" window, again - we are out of stock on that color. Because we DO NOT accept back-orders or advance orders on products, you will just have to check back to see when more are available.

Do you sell replacement parts?
We do not offer replacement parts at this time. While many of you are interested in updating your older instruments, we cannot offer replacement parts at this time.

I tried to place an order, but I received a message that said "AVS CHECK FAILED". I called my credit card company and they said that it authorized! What does this mean?
AVS is a credit card processing term that refers to address verification. When you order from our site, you can put in a shipping address, and a different billing address if you wish. While the shipping address can be any valid address, the billing address must be the EXACT address where your credit card statement is mailed. Your bank checks this address, your name, your expiration date, and funds availablility before authorizing the transaction. Most banks, however, will pre-authorize the transaction when there is a problem with this address, but will warn our bank with an AVS flag. Our bank will then cancel processing the transaction and return this error to you.

Is it safe for me to submit my credit/check card or check information to MusicYo via the Internet?
At MusicYo.com, security is very important. Therefore, we have taken all the necessary measures to ensure that your credit card and banking information is safe. These measures make it very unlikely that your credit card information will be compromised on-line. In fact, submitting your credit/check card or banking information to us on-line is more secure than submitting it over the phone.

  • We are a "Verisign Secure" Site. This means that we employ the latest in encryption technology supplied by the world leader in encryption - Verisign.
  • We store NO credit/check card or banking information. When you type in your billing information and click SUBMIT, the information is passed to us using SSL (Verisign again). We look at your shopping cart, store the transaction information for your receipt, and then GIVE the rest of the information (including all card and bank numbers) to our financial processing company. We write nothing down.


However, in the event of an unauthorized use of your credit/check card and/or banking information, notify your card provider or issuing bank in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures. You are often protected by regulations that cover purchases and limit your liability to a maximum of $50 in charges.

What are the SHIPPING charges?
All shipping charges are calculated by YOU and our MusicYo.com website. To determine YOUR shipping charges, you must first REGISTER at MusicYo.com. Then, proceed to put the product(s) you want to consider buying into your SHOPPING CART. Then, click on purchase and follow instructions. You must enter the address where you want the product shipped and how you want the product shipped. (example: FedEx Ground, FedEx Standard Overnight, etc.)

When you get to the BILLING screen, your total cost including shipping charges, will appear. At this point, you can continue with the purchase or REMOVE the items from your shopping cart. You can also go BACK and adjust any items or information.

You will NOT be charged for or shipped any product in your shopping cart until you COMPLETE the purchase transaction!

Will MusicYo give my email address or other information to other companies?
No. MusicYo respects your privacy. We will NOT distribute customer information to anyone outside MusicYo or our direct promotional partners without your permission.

Does MusicYo.com use cookies ?
In order to make the ordering process as quick and painless as possible, we have started using cookies to store information regarding your personal account. No credit card information has been stored in these cookies!

What the heck is a CVV2/CVC2 or Credit Verification Number?
The Card Verification Value or Card Verification Code is a 3-digit security code printed on the back signature panel of Visa and MasterCard cards. This 3-digit security code helps validate your MusicYo.com purchase as legitimate. We use this code as well as address and Zip verification to make decisions on whether to accept charges. This increases our commitment to protect you from fraud and reduce our exposure to fraud. Helpful Information: All Visa cards will be required to have CVV by Jan 1, 2001. All MasterCard cards were required to have CVC by Jan 1, 1997. On the back panel of most credit cards you will see the full 16-digit account number, followed by the 3-digit security code. Some card may only show the last 4 digits of the card then the security code.

From where are MusicYo’s products shipped?
MusicYo.com has just moved into a NEW warehouse as of September 2001 located in Nashville, TN.

What about sales tax or VAT?
1. MusicYo will charge the applicable US State sales tax only if the product ships to Tennessee or California. You will see this charge on your MusicYo invoice total. 2. If you are shipping to a country outside the USA, MusicYo will NOT charge you for any applicable import tax, customs duty, or VAT charges. These additional charges (if required by YOUR country) will be collected by FedEx when the product is delivered. To determine what these charges will be, you should contact either your local government or your local FedEx office.

How do I Place an order?
Once you have found the item you would like to buy you need to select the add to cart button. Once the item is in the shopping cart you have the option of finishing the order (Processed to the next step) or continue shopping. Once you have the item in your cart select the proceed to the next step where the system will gather your shipping and billing address so it can calculate the shipping fee's for you. You will then be shown the shipping fees and options and select one before proceeding to the next step. The last step of the process will show you the entire order amount with shipping and tax (if applicable) and you will be asked for your credit card information. Once your order has been successfully transmitted, we will send you a confirmation email confirming your purchase.

What happened to the EU Warehouse?
Due to recent manufacturer restrictions, we are unable to stock merchandise outside of the United States. All orders must now be placed through our US site.
